I’m Krishna (friends call me KC or Kris) Curry Nall, the new Outreach & Marketing Manager for the San Diego Team. Ever since my first day in mid-July I’ve been so impressed by each person I’ve met in affiliation with this council. The GOTRSD community is phenomenal! I’m so grateful to connect with the brilliant minds, kind souls, and generous beings that keep this council growing. Thank you for the warm reception.
Before moving to La Jolla a year ago, I lived in Los Angeles for 15 years. I attended UCLA from 2006-2010 as a political science student and member of the track team. My competitive running journey, which began at the age of 7, literally took me around the world, afforded me incredible opportunities, and introduced me to amazing people. My emotional gains from competitive sports are a mixed bag of trauma, grit, and resilience. Little me definitely needed the life skills presented in the GOTR curriculum. Luckily, I remained physically healthy and excelled in track, but athletic success was my main source of confidence up until my early adulthood. I’m truthfully still in the process of shifting that mindset but I have found safe spaces of connection, like this community, that produce healing. I’m excited to spread the GOTR revolution to girls in San Diego.
