Frequently Asked Questions

What is GOTRSD?
Girls on the Run of San Diego is a life-changing, experiential learning program for girls ages eight to eleven years old. The program combines training for a 5K (3.1 mile) running event with self-esteem enhancing, uplifting workouts. The goals of the program is to encourage positive emotional, social, mental, spiritual and physical development.

In both the spring and the fall, there is a twelve week program which meets twice a week after school for an hour and fifteen minutes. Each of the 24 sessions has a different theme and topic. The girls begin with a warm-up, consisting of various games that are both physical and mental in nature, and complete a running workout and cool down.
